Ann Chase has performed in the San Diego community for the past forty years. A soloist in opera, oratorio, solo recitals, chamber music, cabaret, musical theatre and more. She has continued to create innovative programming which celebrates repertoire for the solo voice.
A founding member of the chamber music ensemble, CAMARADA, Ann performed chamber music from Bach to Berio; as a member of the American music ensemble, LEAVES OF GRASS, she researched and performed American music. Currently, she is founder and artistic director of CABARETCACCIA, a musical series dedicated to the solo voice of any ethnicity, historical era, or musical style. She has taught voice at UC San Diego, San Diego State University, California State University San Marcos and continually at Palomar Community College. She is the proud mother of two professional musicians, Claire, a flutist, and Darren, a baritone and is married to choral conductor, David Chase.
