Palomar Theatre’s Original Production:
THE WATER SPEAKS
An original, mixed-media performance work created and performed by an ensemble of Palomar students, guided and facilitated by theatre professor Michael Mufson. What will it be? An act of unlimited imagination performed in real time and space.
Theme: Water is the source of all life on our planet and has a deep place in our collective unconscious, as manifested in the mythologies, religions, oral traditions and literature of most cultures. It serves as a metaphor for our deepest, inner, emotional stirrings. Water embodies a host of contradictions, and so reflects the complex and perplexing nature of physical existence. Water suggests cleansing, ritual and rebirth. Water knows no borders. Floods, famines, droughts and disasters: water is in crisis.
