Anna Piland and Angela Xing – Concert Hour
Anna Piland grew up in Regional Australia and began playing cello at the age of 8, studying at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. In 2011 she founded the award winning Eliana Strings, who play string ensemble music around San Diego County. Emily Moore has been playing violin since she was four, and her formative orchestral experience took place in Palomar College in the Civic Youth Orchestra.She has been collaborating with singer/songwriter Simon Petty for the last five years, and their band Ruled By Venus combines her virtuoso violin with the subtleties of classic folk song structure. We will be playing a mixture of original instrumental compositions for acoustic guitar and violin, and original songs.
