The Private Music School, Zavadilka, was founded on April 27th, 2007 and teaches the foundations in music. It has built relationships with other schools at home and abroad in Austria, Great Britain and Cyprus. Since 2010 the school has worked with The Vasa Prihoda Institute. The school holds and organizes The International Violin Competition and The International Violin Exhibition: New European Talents. These are dedicated in honor of Vasa Prihoda.

Colin McAllister – The Library at Night

Colin McAllister is an Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. His performances as a guitarist and conductor have been hailed as “sparkling….delivered superbly” (San Francisco Chronicle) and “ravishing” (San Diego Union Tribune), and he has recorded on the Innova, Centaur, Naxos, Albany, Old King Cole, Vienna Modern Masters, Carrier and Tzadik labels. He was an instructor at Palomar College from 2000-2012.

As part of a final class project, Palomar College Electronic Ensemble student composers are given a chance to take the audience on an electrifying adventure through their original music compositions ranging from a variety of styles (or wherever their imaginations can take us). Directed by Dr. Madelyn Byrne, the production will be held live on Zoom. Audience members will experience of range of compositions from students, carried out over the past semester, all during a live Zoom broadcast.
